Use the following installation checklist to ensure you install everything correctly for Feature Based Access:

  1. Verify all pre-installation requirements have been met. See Pre-Installation.
  2. Install the GIS Service. See Installing the OnBase GIS Service.
  3. Modify the GIS Service web.config file. See Modifying the web.config File.
  4. Choose one of the following methods to integrate OnBase with a web mapping application:
    1. Install and use the GIS Sample Application. To begin, see Install the GIS Sample Application.
    2. Install the GIS Sample Application and use it as a guideline to write your own GIS Application. To begin, see Install the GIS Sample Application. After installing the sample application, you should contact your solution provider to obtain documentation on using the WebAPI OnBase Plug-In.
    3. Install and use the OnBase widget for Esri Web AppBuilder. To begin, see Install the OnBase Widget for Esri Web AppBuilder.
    4. Install and use the OnBase widget for the Geocortex HTML Viewer. To begin, see Installing the OnBase Widget for the Geocortex HTML Viewer.
    5. Install and use the OnBase widget for Portal for ArcGIS. To begin, see Installing the OnBase Widget for Portal for ArcGIS.
    6. Install and use the OnBase plugin for Azteca Cityworks Server. To begin, see Installing the OnBase Plugin for Azteca Cityworks Server.
    7. Write your own GIS Application integrated directly with the OnBase GIS Service based on the ArcGIS WCF API. Contact your solution provider to obtain documentation on integrating with the OnBase GIS Service.
  5. Install, configure, and use the GIS Configuration Utility to map your OnBase content to geographic map services. See GIS Configuration Utility Overview.
  6. If you want to configure your solution to allow users to upload documents larger than 30 MB, configure the Application Server as needed. See Configuring the OnBase Application Server.
  7. Begin using Feature Based Access.
