Once a geocoder configuration has been created, you can configure it to customize how it converts coordinates. To configure a geocoder, follow these steps:
- Click the Geolocation ribbon tab. The Geolocation layout is displayed.
- Select a geocoder configuration from the Geocoder Configuration list. For information on creating a new geocoder configuration, see Creating a New Geocoder Configuration.
- Select the type of address to be used when geocoding from the Geocoder Address Format drop-down list.
- Select the maximum number of coordinates that will be returned when geocoding a document from the Maximum Coordinates drop-down list.
- Select an accuracy score to use when results are returned when geocoding a document from the Minimum Score drop-down list. If this value is set to 100, results must exactly match the provided value. Selecting a value less than 100 will allow OnBase to return and geocode values similar to the provided value.
- To override the default geocoder settings with a customized geocoding service, select an override from the Geocoder Service drop-down list. For information on creating a new customized geocoding service, see Creating a Customized Geocoder Service.
-
Click Document Type to select the Document Types that will be used with this geocoder configuration. When this button is clicked, the following dialog box is displayed.
- Select one or more Document Types from the Available for Selection list and click Add to select them for use with this geocoder configuration.
-
Select Use Exif over device location to only use location Exif metadata on an image document to determine geolocation coordinates, even if the device's location data is also captured when the document is imported into OnBase.
When this option is not selected, the device's location is used to generate map coordinates, as is the location Exif metadata on the image document (potentially generating two separate map points for the same document). This is because the device's location data is set when the document is imported into OnBase, while location Exif metadata is set when the image document is created.
- Click OK. You are returned to the Geolocation layout.
- Click Save to save your changes.
