When a Folder Type is mapped to an existing layer, documents that are imported into OnBase using the selected Folder Type will be automatically linked to the selected map layer, based on that document's Keyword Values. To map a Folder Type to a configured layer, follow these steps:

  1. Select a layer, then open the Layer Configuration Options drop-down list and select the Folder Type option. The Folder Type Mapping dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select a Folder Type. The Child Folder Type list will be populated with all available Document Types.
  3. If desired, select a Child Folder Type.
  4. If desired, select an URL Link Name. This option controls the tooltip text that is displayed when users hover over the Folder icon with their mouse.
    CAUTION:

If you enter an URL into this field, your configuration will not function properly.

  5. Select a Keyword Type and a Layer Attribute, then select Add. The selected Keyword Type will be mapped to the selected Layer Attribute.
  6. Select OK. The configured Folder Type will be added to the selected layer.
