XML configuration files created prior to OnBase 16 can still be imported into the configuration utility and used to configure your solution. After importing an existing configuration file for use with the Integration for Esri, you should validate it to make sure your file has been properly configured.

To validate an imported configuration file, follow these steps:

  1. Open the configuration file you want to validate.
  2. Click Validate Config File from the ribbon. The File Validation window is displayed.
The File Validation window will display a Validation Report that notes any layer configuration errors in the currently selected file.
    Note:

In some cases, it may be useful to save your validation report by selecting the Save validation xml option. This will provide you with a convenient way to send your validation information to others, such as a technical support representative.

  3. Once you are finished viewing the Validation Report, click OK.
  4. Resolve any errors noted in the Validation Report by modifying your file as needed. If you are unable to resolve one or more errors, please contact your first line of support for assistance.
