Depending on your system's configuration, you may be able to view a geocoded document (i.e., a document that has had an address converted into a set of latitude and longitude coordinates) on a map within the Unity Client. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Unity Client.
  2. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Click the View Map icon from the Maps tab of the Home ribbon.

    • Retrieve one or more geocoded documents, select one or more geocoded documents from the hitlist, then perform one of the following steps:

      • Right-click and select Send To | Map Documents

      • In the Document tab of the ribbon, in the Actions section, click Send To | Map Documents

    The Geolocation Map dialog box is displayed.
  3. The selected documents are displayed on the map according to the color of the icon in the Results list. Click on a location icon on the map to display an Items dialog box containing information on the selected documents.
  4. Click the Document Name of a document to open that document in the Document Viewer.
    The Results section contains a list of documents sent to the selected map. The following options are available:

    Click on one of the colored icons in the Results section in order to change the color of the icon displayed on the map for the corresponding document set.

    If desired, you can modify this field to change the name of the field displayed in the Results section. The number in parentheses indicates the total number of documents in the result set.

    Deselect the check box next to a document in the Results section in order to hide the document results from the map.

    Tip:

    You can remove items from the Results list by right-clicking the item and selecting Remove.
