Depending on your system's configuration, you may have access to advanced features. See the following tables for information on these advanced features:

Option

Description

Map Title

If desired, you can modify this field to change the name of the map.

Select

Click this button to select OnBase items on the map by clicking and dragging to create a selection box.

Clear

Click this button to clear all selected OnBase.

Identify

Click this option to enable the selection tool. When this tool is enabled, you can click a parcel on the map to display the metadata associated with documents attached to that parcel.

Note:

This option is only available if a feature service is available on the selected map.

Refresh Map

Click this option to refresh the display of the map. The document count is updated to include any documents that are now visible on the map that were not available on the initial view of the map (for example, if the map was scrolled, or zoomed out).

Add Content

Click this option to add additional content to the currently displayed map. See Adding Content for more information.

Save Map Snapshot

Click this option to save the current map as an image document within OnBase or to an external location. The following options are available:

  • File- select this option to save the current map to an external location.

  • Import- select this option to import the current map as an image document within OnBase.

Save Map State

Click this option to save the current map state to OnBase as an xml document using the Geolocation Map State file format. You can only save map states into Document Types that have been configured to store geolocation map states.

Tip:

Availability of Advanced Mode, Map Tips, and Layer Info on saved map states is determined by the User Group permission of the user opening the saved map state.

Note:

Viewing map states saved with Document Type content is not supported in the Web Client.

Content Pane

Click this option to display the content pane to the right of the map if it is currently hidden.

View Available Map States

If more than one map state has been loaded into the Geolocation Map viewer, you can click this option to display all currently available map states in a Map States pane. You can then double-click on a map state in the list to display the selected map state in the Geolocation Map viewer.

Zoom In

Click this option to zoom in on the display of the map.

Zoom Out

Click this option to zoom out on the display of the map.
