Depending on your system's configuration, you may be able to view a geocoded document (i.e., a document that has had an address converted into a set of latitude and longitude coordinates) on a map within the Web Client.
Web Client mapping functionality is only available in the HTML-only version of the Web Client.
To view a geocoded document, follow these steps:
- Open the Web Client.

Perform one of the following actions:

Click the View Map icon.

Retrieve one or more geocoded documents, select one or more geocoded documents from the hitlist, then right-click and select Send To | Map.

Open an image document, then right-click and select Send To | Map.

From the Menu list, click Open Map Viewer.
The Geolocation Map dialog box is displayed.Tip:You can click the Toggle Coordinate View option to expand the coordinate view tool, which displays the latitude and longitude coordinates your mouse is hovering over. Use the drop-down list to change the format of the displayed coordinates.

The selected documents are displayed on the map according to the color of the icon in the Results list. Click on a location icon on the map in order to display the location's coordinates and the name of the related document(s). Click on a document's name to open and view the attached document.
The Results section contains a list of documents sent to the selected map. The following options are available:

Click on one of the colored icons in the Results section in order to change the color of the icon displayed on the map for the corresponding document set.
If desired, you can modify this field to change the name of the field displayed in the Results section. The number in parentheses indicates the total number of documents in the result set.
Deselect the check box next to a document in the Results section in order to remove the document results from the map.
Tip:You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + M to show or hide all map control panes.
