With Document Type comment filtering, you can create a default list of allowed Document Type comments and, if desired, separately filtered lists for individual indexing workstations.

Note:

Individual users can add an additional layer of filtering to the allowed Document Type comments for the current user account on the current workstation. For more information, see Filtering Indexing Options by Workstation.

To filter which Document Type comments are allowed by default and/or by workstation:

  1. From the Centricity Indexing tab of the Assign Process Options for <scan queue> dialog box, click the Document Comment Configuration button. The Centricity Index Comments dialog box is displayed.
  2. To set up the default list of allowed Document Type comments, from the Workstation drop-down list, select All.
  3. Type a comment in the text field and click Add to add it to the default list of allowed comments. Repeat for as many allowed comments as appropriate.
  4. Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to reorder the list of allowed comments as desired.
  5. To remove a comment from the list, select the comment and click Delete.
  6. To set up the allowed Document Type comments for an individual workstation, from the Workstation drop-down list, select the name of the desired workstation. The default list of allowed Document Type comments is replaced by a workstation-specific Document Type Comments list with check boxes next to the listed comments.
    Note:

While comments in the workstation-specific Document Type Comments list can still be reordered using the Move Up and Move Down buttons, comments can only be added or deleted from the default list of allowed comments. To return to the default list of allowed comments, from the Workstation drop-down list, select All.

  7. In the Document Type Comments list, do the following:
    1. Select all comments that this individual workstation should have access to.
    2. Deselect all comments that this individual workstation should not have access to.
      Note:

Selections made in this step override the default selections made (i.e., all comments added) in step 3.

  8. Repeat steps 6 to 7 for each individual workstation you wish to create custom filters for.
  9. When finished creating allowed Document Type comment filters, click Save.
