In order to export .HT and .HR files to LinkLogic or to your Centricity Practice Management system, you must configure a custom process for each scan queue on the Custom Processing tab of the Assign Process Options for <scan queue> dialog box.

Also note that, if you are using Front Office Scanning with your Centricity solution, you must configure a custom process to convert the Keyword Values from Front Office Scanning into the proper format to pass to your Centricity database.

If desired, you can also configure a custom process to purge the Centricity documents from OnBase once they have been exported.

To configure custom processes for Centricity:

  1. From the Custom Processing tab of the Assign Process Options for <scan queue> dialog box, select Perform Custom Processing.
  2. If you are using Front Office Scanning with your Centricity solution, do the following:
    1. From the Process Type drop-down list, select Build Missing Centricity Data from Keywords.
    2. In the Process Name field, enter an appropriate name for the process.
    3. Click Add. A message is displayed, informing you that this type of custom process does not allow (or require) any per-process configuration.
  3. From the Process Type drop-down list, select Generate Centricity Document Data Files.
  4. In the Process Name field, enter an appropriate name for the process.
  5. Click Add. The Centricity Output Process: <Process Name> dialog box is displayed.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • If you wish to export your Centricity documents to a Centricity Practice Management system, select Link to Centricity Practice Management (direct database connection). The Output location for data files field is disabled.

    • If you wish to export your Centricity documents to LinkLogic, in the Output location for data files field, enter or browse to an appropriate network path location for the LinkLogic data files.

    • If you wish to specify a custom link format to connect to your Centricity database, in the Document Linking Format field, enter an appropriate value for the link format. You can use [ID] as a placeholder for the Document Handle, which your OnBase system supplies during the export process.

For example, if your Centricity database should store a DocPop link to a document, you can set the custom link format string to the appropriate DocPop URL, and OnBase can replace your [ID] placeholder with the Document Handle when the document is exported to Centricity (e.g., http://server/docpop?ID=[ID]).

    Note:

If you leave the Document Linking Format field blank, OnBase generates a retrieval ID value for the document and assigns it to the OnBase Keyword Type that has been mapped to the Retrieval ID Centricity value.

  7. Click Save to return to the Custom Processing tab of the Assign Process Options for <scan queue> dialog box.
  8. If you would like the Centricity documents to be purged from OnBase after they have been exported, do the following:
    1. From the Process Type drop-down list, select Purge Centricity Document Index and Observation Data (After Export).
    2. In the Process Name field, enter an appropriate name for the process.
    3. Click Add. A message is displayed, informing you that this type of custom process does not allow (or require) any per-process configuration.
  9. When finished configuring custom processes, click Save.
