The Integration for GE Centricity can be used in conjunction with the Advanced Capture module to perform Advanced Capture processing on documents to extract values and then automatically perform a patient lookup in the Centricity database using these extracted values. For instance, if consent forms that specify a patient Medical Record Number are being scanned, this value can be extracted using Advanced Capture. If the associated scan queue is configured properly for Centricity Document Imaging, then the Advanced Capture module automatically performs a patient lookup in the Centricity database using the extracted patient MRN values and populates the remaining patient information on the documents, all without user intervention.
