Auto Import folders can be configured to send email messages and attachments to a configured scan queue. When configuring an Auto Import folder, you can select the Send Message to Scan Queue option or the Send Attachments to Scan Queue option. When one of these options are selected, you must configure a scan queue for the messages and attachments to be archived.

To configure a scan queue for the Send Message to Scan Queue option or the Send Attachments to Scan Queue option:

  1. From the integration with OnBase tab, click Folder Configuration. The Outlook Folder Configuration window is displayed.
  2. Click the Folder tab. The Folder ribbon is displayed.
  3. From the Configured Folders section, select a folder from the list.
  4. From the Folder ribbon, click Configure. The Folder Rules dialog box is displayed.
  5. From the Actions section, select Send Message to Scan Queue.
  6. From the Rules section, select the Scan Queue hyperlink.

The Send to Scan Queue dialog box is displayed.

  7. From the Batch Name field, enter the name of the batch to be scanned. If you do not enter a name, a default name is used.
  8. From the Scan Queue drop-down list, select a scan queue to assign to the Auto Import folder.
  9. Select the Images Only option to only send attached image files from email messages to the scan queue.
  10. Click OK to save your changes and close the Send to Scan Queue dialog box.
    Note:

The Send to Scan Queue option does not populate mail System Keywords (such as MAIL To). If you need to populate mail System Keywords, open the document in Workflow and use the Set Property from Email Metadata action. For more information, see the Workflow module reference guide.
