Mail message options control what happens to an email message after it is imported into OnBase . To import email messages into OnBase , one of the following mail message options must be selected:

  • Keep Messages In Same Folder

  • Remove Messages

  • Move Messages To

Description

Keep Messages in Same Folder

Email messages are kept in the same Outlook folder after they are imported into OnBase . This option is selected by default when the Enable Import Button option is selected.

Note:

This option does not apply to email messages imported into OnBase using an Auto Import folder or the Import button on the Message tab.

Remove Messages

Email messages are moved to the Microsoft Outlook Deleted Items folder after being imported into OnBase .

This option does not apply to email messages imported into OnBase using an Auto Import folder or the Import button on the Message tab.

Move Messages To

Email messages are moved to a different Microsoft Outlook folder. Click Browse to select a folder for imported email messages to be moved to.

This option does not apply to email messages imported into OnBase using an Auto Import folder or the Import button on the Message tab.

Automatically select all attachments for import

Select all email attachments automatically when importing email messages. Users can modify which email attachments are included when importing email messages into OnBase .

Set Document Date as Sent Date

Use the date that an email was sent as the Document Date. If this option is not selected, the date the email message was imported is used as the Document Date.

Note:

If this option is selected and an email does not have a Received Time value, the current date is used.
