The integration with OnBase ribbon is added to Outlook when the Integration for Microsoft Outlook 2019 is installed. Access the ribbon by clicking the integration with OnBase tab.

Note:

If you are not already logged on to OnBase , you are prompted to log on after clicking a button in the integration ribbon. If it is your first time using the Integration for Microsoft Outlook 2019 after installation, you are prompted to log on when Outlook opens.

Depending on your configuration and licensing, the ribbon may contain the following buttons:

Document Group

Description

Custom Queries

Opens the Custom Queries window.

Retrieval

Opens the Retrieval window.

Envelopes

Opens the Envelope window.

File Cabinets

Opens the File Cabinets window.

Retrieve by Document Handle

Opens the Retrieve by Document Handle window.

OnBase Group

Description

Import

Imports the selected email messages and any attachments into OnBase.

Note:

Depending on your system configuration, the icon for the Import button may differ from that pictured here.

Dashboards

Opens the Dashboards window. A Reporting Dashboards license is required to use this button.

Workflow

Opens the Workflow window. A Workflow Named User Client or a Workflow Concurrent Client license is required to use this button.

My Reading Groups

Opens the My Reading Groups window. A Document Knowledge Transfer & Compliance license is required to use this button.

Client

Opens the OnBase Client.

Note:

Depending on your system configuration, the icon for the Client button may differ from that pictured here.

Folder Configuration

Opens the Outlook Folder Configuration window. For instructions on how to configure an Auto Import folder, see Auto Import Folder Configuration.

Help

Opens the Integration for Microsoft Outlook 2019 help file.

Connect Group

Description

Reconnect

Note:

This button is only displayed when OnBase has lost connection to the Application Server.

Reconnects the Integration for Microsoft Outlook 2019 to the Application Server when the connection is lost. If you are still unable to reconnect to the Application Server after clicking Reconnect, contact your system administrator.

Create Group

Description

Forms

Opens the Create a New Form window to create a new E-Form or Unity Form.

Import from File

Opens the Import from File window.

Note:

Depending on your system configuration, the icon for the Import from File button may differ from that pictured here.

Imaging Group

Description

Send to Scan Queue

Sends the selected or open mail messages to your configured scan queue. When using this button, messages are processed with the .msg file format.

Note:

The Store messages in MSG format option in File | OnBase is ignored by the Send to Scan Queue button. Outlook messages sent to a scan queue for processing are stored in .msg format whether or not the Store messages in MSG format option is selected.

Batch Processing

Opens the Batch Processing window.
