The Integration for Microsoft Outlook 2019 allows you to retrieve email and attachments imported into OnBase and view them in Outlook by using the Retrieval window.

Note:

To use Document Retrieval, you must have the appropriate user rights. Contact your system administrator for additional information.

To view emails and attachments imported into OnBase :

  1. On the OnBase tab, click Retrieval.
    Note:

    You must have appropriate user rights to access the Retrieval button. If you cannot access the Retrieval button, contact your system administrator.

    Depending on your login status to OnBase , one of the following may be displayed:

    • If you are not logged on to OnBase , the Login dialog box is displayed

    • If you are logged on to OnBase , the Retrieval window is displayed

  2. Select the Document Type Group you used to import your email messages and attachments from the drop-down list in the Document Types and Groups pane.
  3. Select the Document Type from the list of Document Types.
  4. Enter any Keyword Values needed to refine your search in the Keywords and Date Range pane.
  5. Click Find. For more information about retrieving and viewing documents using the Retrieval window, see the Unity Client documentation.
    Note:

    If your system is configured to store email messages in the Outlook native .msg format, any email message you retrieve is displayed in the Outlook viewer where you can perform email actions, such as replying or forwarding a message.
