When configuring the Integration for Netsmart Homecare, you can deploy Integration for Netsmart Homecare updates to users. When you deploy updates, you create a ZIP file that contains the new version of the Integration for Netsmart Homecare that you will be deploying. This ZIP file is then uploaded to the OnBase database. When Field Mode users of the Netsmart Homecare application synchronize with OnBase, or Host Mode only users retrieve documents related to the current patient, the Integration for Netsmart Homecare connects to OnBase and checks for a new version of the Integration for Netsmart Homecare. When a new version is available, users are prompted to upgrade. During the upgrade, the new version is downloaded to the user's workstation and extracted from the ZIP file. The Integration for Netsmart Homecare is then shut down, upgraded, and restarted.
Prior to deploying Integration for Netsmart Homecare updates:
-
Ensure that you have upgraded any OnBase Application Servers used in your OnBase solution. If the OnBase Web Server is part of your solution, ensure that you have also upgraded this server.
-
Ensure that you have configured the Hyland.Applications.Netsmart.exe.config file in the new version of the Integration for Netsmart Homecare that you will be deploying. After configuring the Hyland.Applications.Netsmart.exe.config file in the new version of the Integration for Netsmart Homecare that you will be deploying, ensure that you test this configuration prior to deployment.
If Hyland.Applications.Netsmart.exe.config is not configured correctly and deployed, it can prevent the Integration for Netsmart Homecare from contacting the OnBase Application Server, meaning that users will be unable to use the Integration for Netsmart Homecare.
