Homecare nurses use the Netsmart Homecare application to deliver excellent patient care outside of the typical health care setting. Currently, nurses travel with papers in folders. This poses a high-risk threat. Now, with the Integration for Netsmart Homecare, nurses can automatically download documents to their workstation. They can also create forms (E-Forms and/or Unity Forms), capture images from a scanner, camera, or external device, and use OnBase functionality like notes and annotations to modify documents. At the end of the work day, nurses connect to Netsmart and upload the data from their workstation to OnBase.
The Integration for Netsmart Homecare was designed with the belief that homecare nurses should be out in the field caring for patients; not transporting their workstation back and forth from their place of business for maintenance. The Integration for Netsmart Homecare is optimized for transferring data over high latency, low bandwidth connections. Data is encrypted, so that a compromised laptop does not pose any risk to an organization. The Integration for Netsmart Homecare is easy to maintain, since it is automatically updated each time users connect to Netsmart to download data.
