When Field Mode users of the Netsmart Homecare application switch modes, or when Host Mode only users of the Netsmart Homecare application retrieve documents related to the current patient, the Integration for Netsmart Homecare connects to OnBase and:

Checks for a new version of the Integration for Netsmart Homecare. If one is available, you are prompted to upgrade prior to synchronization.

Click Yes to download and install the upgrade to the workstation.

Click No to decline the upgrade. Field Mode users cannot synchronize if they decline an upgrade. Host Mode only users cannot retrieve documents related to the current patient if they decline an upgrade.
Note:If a database upgrade is also required, the workstation's database is upgraded.

- For Field Mode users, the Integration for Netsmart Homecare checks for changes to configuration. If updated Integration for Netsmart Homecare configuration information is available, this information is downloaded.

For Field Mode users, the Integration for Netsmart Homecare performs additional synchronization operations between OnBase and your workstation's database, which are described in the following sections:
Note:
Data is not committed to your workstation's database until synchronization fully completes. If synchronization fails, the data in your workstation's database will be in the state it was in prior to synchronization.
Note:When you switch modes, the Recent Activities list, which is available from the File menu, is cleared.
