Configure the path to the parent folder where the new folder will be created.

  1. From the ShareBase Library drop-down list, select the ShareBase library that contains the parent folder where the new folder will be created. Ensure that the library you select is shared with users in ShareBase. If the list is out of date, click Refresh to refresh the drop-down list options.
    Note:

    Do not select My Library. This library and its folders cannot be shared with other users.

  2. Provide the path where the new folder will be created. Select one of the following options:
    • Specify Path- Select this option to specify the path to the parent folder.

      To create a new parent folder, enter the name of the new folder in the text box. The new parent folder will be created in the selected library.

      To use an existing folder as the parent folder, click Browse and navigate to the folder that should be used. Select the folder and click OK.

      To validate the path to the parent folder, click Validate Path.

      Note:

      The following characters are not allowed in the ShareBase folder name or path: *, ?, :, ", <, >, /.

    • Get Path from Property- Select this option to specify the path to the parent folder based on a configured property value. In the text field, enter the property containing the name of the parent folder where documents should be uploaded.

    Note:

    If a folder containing the property value does not exist, it will be created in the selected library.
