Option: ShareBase Profile

Select the ShareBase profile to be used when creating the new folder.

Option: Parent Folder Configuration

You can configure the path to the parent folder where the new folder will be created. You can select the ShareBase library from the ShareBase Library drop-down list, that contains the parent folder where the new folder will be created . You must ensure that the library you select is shared with users in ShareBase. If the list is out of date, click Refresh to refresh the drop-down list options.

  • Specify Path- You can select this option to specify the path to the parent folder. You can enter the name of the new folder in the text box to create a new parent folder. The new parent folder will be created in the selected library.You can use an existing folder as the parent folder by clicking Browse and navigating to the folder that should be used. Select the folder and click OK. You can validate the path to the parent folder, by clicking Validate Path.

    Note:

    The following characters are not allowed in the ShareBase folder name or path: *, ?, :, ", <, >, /.

  • Get Path from Property- You can select this option to specify the path to the parent folder based on a configured property value. You can enter the property containing the name of the parent folder in the text field, where documents should be uploaded.

Note:

If a folder containing the property value does not exist, it will be created in the selected library.

Option: New Folder Name

Configure the name to use for the new ShareBase folder. Select one of the following options:

  • Specify Name- Select this option to manually specify the name for the new ShareBase folder. Enter the name for the new folder in the text box.

    Note:

    The following characters are not allowed in the ShareBase folder name: *, ?, :, ", <, >, /. The character \ is allowed and can be used to create multiple nested folders. For example, a value of Alpha\Beta creates a folder named Alpha and also a folder named Beta within the Alpha folder.

  • Get Name from Property- Select this option to specify the name of the new ShareBase folder based on a configured property value. In the text field, enter the property that contains the name for the new ShareBase folder.

Option: Monitor New Documents

Select Monitor New Documents if the new folder should be a monitored folder. When a ShareBase folder is monitored, any documents added to that folder are automatically imported into OnBase. Documents that have been successfully imported into OnBase are then deleted from the ShareBase folder.

Note:

The ShareBase Monitor service must be installed and configured in order to use monitored folders.

The following options are available for monitored folders:

  • Add Documents to Workflow- If this option is selected, documents in the monitored ShareBase folder will initiate OnBase Workflow if Workflow is configured for the archival Document Type.

  • Create New Revision for Modified Documents- If this option is selected, documents in the monitored ShareBase folder will be uploaded to OnBase as revisions of their corresponding documents.
