Interactive Data Capture can greatly enhance standard indexing capabilities within the Unity Client. As OCR processing takes place on the Data Capture Server, the OCR data is stored on the server and overlaid on documents in the batches that have been processed. With this data in place, manual indexing can be supplemented with the following capabilities:
-
Auto-Complete Indexing: The Auto-Complete feature displays a list of suggested values from a document's OCR data when you start to type a value in a Document Date or Keyword Type field, allowing you to quickly select the correct value without having to type the value in its entirety.
-
Point and Click Indexing: The Point and Click indexing feature allows you to capture Keyword Values from the overlaid OCR data on a document simply by clicking on the area that overlays the desired text in the Document Viewer.
-
Swiping: The Swiping feature supplements Point and Click indexing by allowing you to drag a line directly over the desired text to capture it when the value cannot be captured by a single click.
While the Auto-Complete indexing feature is supported in both the Document Date and Keyword Type fields, the Point and Click indexing and Swiping features are only supported in Keyword Type fields.
