To configure the OnBase Web server, OnBase Patient Window, and DeficiencyPop for use with OnBase Entrust:

  1. Launch the Single Sign On Config utility (SingleSignOnConfig.exe) locally on the OnBase web server. The Single Sign On Config dialog is displayed.
  2. Enter the path to the Virtual Directory of the web server. This is the directory that contains the OnBase web.config file (e.g., c:\inetpub\wwwroot\AppNet).
  3. Select Web Server under Type. The Authenticator drop-down list is displayed.
  4. Select Uses App Server. The Web Server Config options are enabled.
  5. From the Authenticator drop-down list, select OnBase Entrust. The OnBase Entrust Properties dialog is displayed.
  6. Select the token type from the Select the Entrust Token Type area:
    • Asymmetric: The default setting that uses a Public Key Hash. The key is stored in the web.config of the web server.

    • Symmetric: The symmetric key allows for a MAC-address-based filtering scheme. The key is protected by DPAPI and stored in the web server registry with ACL.

Proceed to the sub-section for the token type selected.
