OnBase Entrust is an authentication scheme used to provide single sign-on authentication between OnBase and custom line-of-business (LOB) applications. In order to create the trust between the LOB application and OnBase, the custom application must include certain elements used to produce the authentication token required by Integration for Single Sign-On.
In order to successfully configure Integration for Single Sign-On using OnBase Entrust, the line-of-business (LOB) application with which Integration for Single Sign-On will authenticate must include the correct calls to the exposed OnBase Entrust methods.
In order to successfully configure Integration for Single Sign-On using OnBase Entrust, three elements of the solution must be configured, once the line-of-business application is prepared to authenticate with single sign-on:
-
The line-of-business application, using OnBase OnBase Configuration;
-
the OnBase web server configuration file, using Single Sign-On Config;
-
the OnBase application server configuration file, using Single Sign-On Config.
The Single Sign-On Config and OnBase Entrust Configuration utilities cannot be run in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit operating system. However, the utilities can still be used to configure single sign-on and OnBase Entrust for a 32-bit process when running in 64-bit mode.
