Once the thumbnail retrieval task has been configured in the Unity Management Console, a service must be created to execute it. Create the service only after you have configured the thumbnail retrieval task.

To create the Unity Scheduler service:

  1. If you have not already done so, run the Unity Scheduler installer on the server responsible for executing the thumbnail retrieval task. See the Installation chapter of the Unity Scheduler module reference guide for more information.
  2. Using the command line, create an instance of the Unity Scheduler service to run the thumbnail retrieval task. See the Installation chapter of the Unity Scheduler module reference guide for information about the /create command and its parameters.
    Note:

Be sure to enable automatic startup when creating the service. If the service is installed on a different server from the OnBase disk groups, then the service must run under a Windows user account with sufficient access to the disk groups.
