When all deficiencies on a document have been confirmed, any notes configured for burning are permanently burned onto the document. If the document is burned again, any subsequent note data will be appended to a subsequent appended page.
After the burning process, notes configured with the Delete Note After Chart Processing option will be removed from the document. See your system administrator for details.
These rules do not apply to chart notes, which can be added using the Create Chart Notes button in the Medical Records Unity Client. Chart notes are neither burned into documents nor printed with the chart. Chart notes are not based on Note Types within OnBase. They are used for communication between analysts, reanalysts, and coders.
For overlapped text configured for burning, the overlapped text will be burned directly onto the document.
For OnBase notes configured for burning, a page containing the note text and note identification will be added to the end of the document:
-
Note number
-
Page of the document to which the note was applied
-
Date and time the note was burned
-
Note Type
-
Note text
-
Physician number (if a physician applied the note to the document)
