This change only applies to organizations upgrading from OnBase 15 and solutions that use Data Capture Server to perform OCR when using Application Enabler.
The ability to use the Data Capture Server in conjunction with Application Enabler was introduced in OnBase 15. If the Data Capture Server performs OCR for Application Enabler, then both Application Enabler and the Data Capture Server must be upgraded concurrently.
If a solution has many business units that use Application Enabler but only one department that uses Data Capture Server to perform OCR on an application, then only that department's Application Enabler would need to be upgraded concurrently with the Data Capture Server. Using Application Enabler with the Data Capture Server for OCR is not supported in a mixed-mode environment.
