Depending on your configuration, you may be able to view or add notes and annotations to documents. If you have the appropriate rights, the following note and annotation types can be viewed and added to documents:

Overlapped Text
Note:
On image documents that have a high resolution, it may be difficult to see overlapped text annotations on a document. You can still view these overlapped text annotations in the Notes window.
Note:
Arrows, ellipses, highlights, and overlapped text annotations cannot be added to E-Forms or Unity Forms.
