The first step of configuring device registration is to enable Basic Authentication and URL Authorization on the Mobile Applications Broker Server. To enable Basic Authentication and URL Authorization:

  1. Open the Server Management Console.
  2. In the Server Manager Roles, navigate to Web Server (IIS) Role Services. Click Add Role Services. The Add Role Services dialog box is displayed.
  3. Under Security, select the check box next to Basic Authentication and URL Authorization. Click the Next button.
  4. The Confirmation screen is displayed. Confirm that Basic Authentication and URL Authorization are listed to be installed, and click Install.
    Note:

    The server may need to be restarted after installation is completed.
