The Mobile Applications Broker Server facilitates communication between mobile devices using OnBase Mobile applications and the OnBase Application Server. Mobile device data is sent to the Mobile Applications Broker Server. The Mobile Applications Broker Server translates this data and sends it on to the OnBase Application Server, which in turn communicates with the OnBase database.

Note:

A mobile network operator is not required to use OnBase Mobile applications. OnBase Mobile applications can be used with a Wi-Fi connection.

The following graphic depicts how the Mobile Applications Broker Server functions:

One Mobile Applications Broker Server can be used for all OnBase Mobile Access applications to communicate with the OnBase Application Server. For example, an organization may use Android and iPhone devices. One Mobile Applications Broker Server can be used for both types of devices to communicate with the OnBase Application Server.

Mobile Applications Broker Server communications are logged in the Diagnostics Console. For more information, see the Diagnostics Service and Diagnostics Console documentation.
