Microsoft Office 2016 No Longer Supported

As of Foundation EP5, Microsoft Office 2016 is not supported in OnBase.

Upgrading with the Template Builder Feature

If your current installation includes the Template Builder feature, you must select the Template Builder feature again when upgrading to the latest version of OnBase.

  • From the MSI Installer: From the Custom Setup dialog box, click the drop-down list beside the name of the Template Builder component to display the installation options.

Select Will be installed on local hard drive to install the selected component.

Select Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive to install all components of the Template Builder feature.

For more information on using the MSI installer, see the section on installing with the standard (MSI) installer in the Hyland Office Products Installers chapter.

  • From the ClickOnce Deployment: From the Package Selection dialog box, select the Template Builder 20XX component from the list, where XX represents the year of the Microsoft Office integration.

For more information on installing using ClickOnce, see the section on installing using ClickOnce in the Hyland Office Products Installers chapter.

  • From the Command Line: When installing components, pass the Template_Builder feature name to the installer using the ADDLOCAL property. For example, msiexec /i "Office 2021 Integration x86.msi" ADDLOCAL=Template_Builder. For more information on installing from the command line, see the section on controlling the installer from the command line in the Hyland Office Products Installers chapter.
