Users can store and share documents in one database using the Office Business Application for 2021. The initial document is created and imported into OnBase using the Office Business Application for 2021. It can then be retrieved through familiar Microsoft Office applications, as well as an OnBase client. The document can also be routed via Workflow.
With the addition of EDM Services licensing, revisions to documents can be made using the Office Business Application for 2021. When a document's content changes, the modified document can be saved as a revision. Documents can be saved as revisions with or without revision comments attached. Previous revisions are still retained, allowing users to view prior revisions and track the document's history. With the addition of Workflow licensing, users can access the full Unity Workflow interface, or choose to execute tasks on the current document.
The Office Business Application for 2021 can be installed using Microsoft ClickOnce technology. Instead of installing the Office Business Application for 2021 on each individual client machine, it can be installed on a central server and ClickOnce deployed to each of the client machines. With the central installation, updates to the Office Business Application for 2021 can be pushed down easily to client machines without the need to manually install on each client machine.
