If your solution includes multiple facilities or Meditech systems, configuring your verification scan queue to use a specific validation facility allows for a patient to be verified against the correct Meditech system.

To configure your verification scan queue to use a specific facility for validation:

  1. In the Configuration module, select Import | Scan Queues.
  2. Select the scan queue used for patient verification, then click Process Options. The Assign Process Options dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the Integrations tab of the Assign Process Options dialog box.
  4. Within the Medical Records section, select Meditech Patient Verification Support.
  5. In the Specific Facility drop-down select list, select the facility against which you want to verify patients.
    Note:

    If no facility is selected, the scan queue verifies against the default Meditech system.

  6. In the OnBase Configuration module, select Medical | Charts | Data Fields. The Chart Data Fields Configuration dialog box is displayed.

    The available chart data fields from your Meditech solution are listed, along with their related HL7 or OnBase Keyword information.

  7. To change the type of information displayed for the data fields, from the Display section of the dialog box, select either HL7 Info or Keyword Info, as appropriate.
  8. Select a data field and click Settings. The Chart Data Field Settings dialog box is displayed.
  9. In the Keyword Settings section, from the Key Value drop-down select list, select the OnBase Keyword Type you wish to map the data field to.
  10. If desired, select any or all of the following options:
    • Required Key:

    • Zero-Pad For Searching:

    • Search Key:

  11. Click Save. You are returned to the Chart Data Fields Configuration dialog box.
  12. When finished mapping data fields to Keyword Types, click Close.
