The Advanced tab contains advanced processing options that affect the batches imported via the process format.

The following options are available:

Option

Description

Search PCL Macros for Text

Select to search through PCL macros for ID strings and Keyword Values.

CAUTION:

Selecting this option can needlessly slow down a PCL process. As such, you should only select this option when instructed to by Tech Support.

Use File Type From Document Type

Uses the default file format of the Document Type when importing documents with differing file types.

Do Not Create Batch if No Documents are Found

Reduces the number of unnecessary Verification Reports generated. When this option is selected and a process is run, the processing directory is checked to verify there are files to process. If there are no files to process in the processing directory, the process does not run and a Verification Report is not generated.

Convert to TIFF

Select this option to convert documents imported via PCL to image documents upon import. If this option is not selected, documents imported via PCL will remain as PCL documents after import.

The resolution and Convert to Grayscale options are not available for use with PCL.

Tip:

When using the Convert to TIFF option, it is a best practice to ensure that the Document Types associated with imported documents use a Default File Format that matches the actual file format of the imported documents. This will ensure that the documents can be viewed correctly.

Match File Name

Note:

This option is only available if your solution is licensed for Image Statements.

Enter the path to the match file to be used or click Browse to navigate to the file to automatically associate a match file with the documents imported during a process.

Wildcard characters are supported. You may use the ? and * characters to specify multiple files.

The match file is automatically deleted after the process is run.

If no match file path is supplied in the Match File Name field, you may still manually associate a match file with the process at the time the process is run.
