PDFPop is a document retrieval tool that is included with the OnBase Web Server. PDFPop allows internal or external users to view OnBase documents similar to DocPop, but on a broader range of devices, and without making additional OnBase functionality available to end-users. PDFPop can be supported on a broader range of browsers and devices due to the extensive platform support provided by the PDF file format.
When users access a PDFPop link, a query passed through the query string is processed, and a hit list of documents is displayed. Once a document is selected from the hit list, the document is rendered into a read-only PDF format and then displayed to the user for viewing. Alternatively, if the result from the query is a single document, then that document is rendered into a read-only PDF format and displayed directly to the user.
