If you are using the Hyland Distribution Service, you must install and configure the Hyland Distribution Service. In addition, the following must be completed:

  1. The Overdue Notification check box must be selected for the repository for which you want to send notifications.
  2. The onbase32.ini file must have the NativeMailSystem entry set equal to 10.
  3. Apply the -PRMSERVER switch to the Client module to run as a server for Physical Records Management notifications.
  4. The user that is logged into the Client running as the server must have their SMTP Mail Settings configured correctly. See SMTP Mail Settings in the External Mail documentation for more information about these settings.
  5. From the Configuration module, select Users | Global Client Settings.
  6. On the Email tab, select the Use E-mail Distribution Service for automated e-mails check box.
  7. Click Save.

To receive e-mail externally, ensure that the users have their e-mail addresses entered in the User Settings dialog box. See the help files for more information about this dialog box. The server will attempt to send mail externally.
