Messages may not be sent for multiple reasons. The following are general steps to troubleshoot the issue. Steps to address specific issues are provided in the following topics.
- Ensure the Distribution Service Settings are configured correctly.
- If there are any firewalls between the servers running the Unity Scheduler and the SMTP server, open the SMTP port to allow the traffic to pass through.
- Verify proper credentials are used if using authentication.
- Verify that your antivirus software is not configured to block the SMTP port.
