Note:

Depending on your configuration, you may or may not have rights to create physical record locators.

To create a new physical record in OnBase:

  1. In the Client module, select File | New | Physical Record Locator. The Record Locator Create Window dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select the appropriate Repository from the corresponding drop-down list.
  3. Select the appropriate Document Type from the corresponding drop-down list.
  4. Enter the record's information.
    Note:

    Location fields can be locked or unlocked by selecting the Lock or Unlock icon. When a field is locked, its value will be retained after clicking Save. When a field is unlocked, its value will be cleared after clicking Save.

  5. Enter Keyword Type values in the Keyword Panel.
    Note:

    Required Keywords are listed in red. Read-only Keywords are displayed but are unavailable for editing unless you have the proper privileges.

  6. Click Save.
    Note:

    If the Clear the Keywords After Import Workstation Option is selected, Keyword Type values will be cleared after clicking Save.

  7. You can create additional Record Locators by repeating steps 2-6 When you are finished creating locators, click Close.
