The Document Types button allows you to choose which Document Types' documents will be printed from this Print Distribution. The print format and number of copies to print can be configured for each Document Type.

  1. Click Document Types from the Print Distribution Configuration dialog box.
The Print Distribution Document Types dialog box appears.
  2. To add a Document Type to the distribution group, select the Document Type in the Available Document Types list and click Add. The Document Type is moved to the Selected Document Types list. To remove a Document Type from the Print Distribution Group, select the Document Type in the Selected Document Types list and click Remove.
  3. To change the Document Type order, select a Document Type and use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to move the selected Document Type to the desired place in the order.
The Document Types will print in the order they appear in the Selected Document Types list, subsorted by Document Handle. To print the Document Types in a different order, change the order in which the Document Types appear in the list.
  4. To configure the settings for a specific Document Type in a Print Distribution Group, select the Document Type in the Selected Document Types list in the Print Distribution Document Types dialog box and click Settings. The Print Distribution Document Type Settings dialog box is displayed.
    Tip:

To apply Print Distribution Document Type settings across multiple Document Types, press Ctrl and click on multiple Document Types in the Selected Document Types list before clicking Settings.

  5. Select a Print Format and type a Number of Copies. If the no print format is selected, OnBase will use the print format specified in the Print Distribution Settings dialog box for the entire Print Distribution Group.
    Note:

The specific settings configured for a Document Type override the default settings given to the Print Distribution Group. If you remove a Document Type from the Selected Document Types list and then add that Document Type back, any Print Distribution settings configured for that Document Type will be lost. The print format and number of copies can be changed at the actual time of printing (when the Print Distribution Group dialog box is displayed in the Client module).

  6. When all settings are configured, click Save.
