At the core of Public Access is the API. The API can be used either directly by you, or indirectly by using the controls supplied with Public Access. The API communicates with an OnBase Application Server to provide the search data, result data, and document viewing data. The location of the Application Server, as well as which OnBase user account Public Access will use, must be configured in the Public Access web.config file. That same user determines which Custom Queries, Folders, and (if enabled) full text searches the public users will be limited to.
