If your system is licensed to use Autonomy IDOL full-text searches and the Public Access front-end client is configured to execute them, you can perform searches based on text contained within documents in addition to keyword values.

Note:

Preset Keywords cannot be used with the full-text search panel.

To perform full-text searches to retrieve public documents:

  1. If necessary, select a Document Type to search from the Document Type drop-down list. The search panel displays any additional search fields specific to the selected Document Type.
  2. In the fields provided, enter values for the documents you want to be returned by the search.
    • Enter the text you want to search for in the Search Term field.

    • Optionally, enter a date range to refine the search results.

    • To clear entered text from all fields, click the Reset button.

  3. Click the Search button to execute the search. Any documents that meet your search criteria are displayed in the results list. See Viewing Documents for more information on working with documents returned by a full-text search.
