Standard Text messages are notes or messages that a purchasing department may use that are repeatable messages that are used frequently. By setting up the codes the users may apply lengthy notes or messages that they use frequently simply by applying a code of up to 10 characters instead of re-typing the messages over and over again. Each message may contain up to 32,000 characters of information. The code for the user look-up comes from the Costpoint STD_TEXT table. The code is filtered by the S_HOW_USED_CD which limits the code to purchase orders and purchase requisitions.
