The following settings define the connection information to Costpoint Web Integration Web Services.

Setting

Description

CostpointSystem

The name of the Costpoint system.

CostpointWSSuperUser

The user name used to connect to Costpoint.

If the system being used is not the default system in your set of databases, then the user name must specify the system name along with the database using two underscore marks separating the two values. To make this simple, just always provide both.

For example: ASmith01__CP7TEST, where ASmith01 is the user name and CP7TEST is the Costpoint system name.

Note:

The user name and Costpoint system name must be separated by two underscore marks, not just one.

CostpointWSSuperUserPassword

The password used to connect to Costpoint.

For example:

                <add key="CostpointSystem" value="[CPsystem]"/>

The user account used to connect to Costpoint must be a valid Costpoint user who meets both of the following criteria:

  • Has all rights to the underlying applications and result sets to select/update data via the regular Costpoint UI.

  • Has the Allow Application Access via Integration Services check box selected on the Authentication tab in the Maintain Users application.

Note:

Passwords stored in the REQConnect database are encrypted during the installation or upgrade process. Contact your first line of support to encrypt the password values in the Web.config file.
