The following buttons are available from an open request.

Note:

The available buttons displayed within the Release of Information ribbon of a request vary depending on a number of factors, including system licensing, the status of the request, user rights, whether the request is assigned to another user, and whether the request is locked. For more information, contact your system administrator.

Button

Description

Save

Saves changes on the request.

New

Opens a new ROI request.

History

When clicking the left portion of the button, displays the Request Log portion of the request history.

When clicking the right portion of the button, displays the following buttons:

  • Request- Displays the Request Log portion of the request history. The Request Log records all actions performed on a request.

  • Status- Displays the Status Log portion of the request history. The Status Log records all status changes of a request.

Properties

Displays the Properties dialog box, which lists information for the request.

Authorization Form

Displays the authorization form for the request, if the request was generated using the Create Release of Information Request Workflow action.

Note:

This button is only available when your system is licensed for Workflow and the request was created using Workflow.

Request Form

Displays the request form for the request.

Attachments

Displays the Attachments list for the request.

Release Order

Displays the Release Order list for the request.

Finalize

Finalizes the request. Depending on licensing and system configuration, the request packet may be generated. If approval is required, the request must be approved prior to the request packet being generated.

Approve

Approves the request, which then allows the request packet can be generated.

Return to Submitter

Displays the Return Request to Submitter dialog box, which prompts you to provide a reason why you are returning the request.

Mark as Payment Received

Displays the Mark as Payment Received dialog box, which allows you to record payment from a requester and apply it to the remaining balance of the request.

Print Invoice

Displays the Print Invoice dialog box, which lists each applicable pricing policy rule and external item for the request. Here, you can view the current cost of the request and adjust it as needed.

After clicking OK, you are prompted to print the invoice.

Mark as Billed

Displays the Mark as Billed dialog box, which lists each applicable pricing policy rule and external item for the request. Here, you can view the current cost of the request and adjust it as needed.

Packet Preview

Displays the generated request packet, which contains all documents attached to the request.

Print Request

Prompts you to print the request. When printing a request, you are printing the generated request packet (if applicable), as well as any documents that are automatically generated based on the selected Request Type.

Save To File

Allows you to save the request to file. When saving a request to file, you are saving the generated request packet (if applicable), as well as any documents that are automatically generated based on the selected Request Type.

Place Hold

Places a hold on the request, where the request becomes read-only and the time worked on the request is paused.

Upon clicking the Place Hold button, it is toggled to the Remove Hold button. When clicking the Remove Hold button, the hold is removed, and request can once again be edited.

Note:

This button is only available when using ROI in standard mode.

Retry Packet Creation

Re-queues the request for packet generation after packet generation has failed.

Revert to Initiated

Reverts a request to its initial status. This does not remove information, attachments, or payments from the request.

Cancel / Reject

In standard mode, opens the Cancel / Reject Request dialog box, allowing you to cancel or reject the request.

In integrated mode, opens the Cancel Request dialog box, allowing you to cancel the request.

Print Composed Document

Displays the Print Composed Document dialog box, allowing you to compose and print a document using a configured template.

Assign

Displays the Assign Request dialog box, allowing you to assign the request to a user.

Unassign

Unassigns the request from the assigned user.

Add Charts and Documents

Displays the Add Attachments wizard, allowing you to attach charts and documents to the request.

Add From Custom Query

Displays the Add From Custom Query dialog box, allowing you to attach documents to the request using a Custom Query.

Add From Virtual Print Gallery

Displays the Add From Virtual Print Gallery dialog box, allowing you to attach to a request documents printed with the Virtual Print Driver.

Note:

This button is only available when your system is licensed for Virtual Print Driver.

Retrieve External Documents

Starts the process to retrieve external system documents contained within the attached Document Types.

Upon clicking the Retrieve External Documents button, it is toggled to the Stop Retrieval Process button. When clicking the Stop Retrieval Process button, the external system document retrieval process is stopped.

Note:

This button is only available when your system is licensed for Report Capture for Meditech.

Restore

Allows work to resume on a rejected request. Once clicked, the request is restored, and it can now be accessed from the Active Requests list.

Restore and Assign

Displays the Assign Request dialog box, allowing you to assign the rejected request to a user. Once the request is assigned, the request is restored, and it can now be accessed from the Active Requests list.

Close Window

Closes the request. If you have unsaved changes, you are prompted to save them.
