From the Release of Information tab of the User Options dialog box, you can control certain prompts and actions within the Release of Information interface.

To access ROI user options:

  1. Click the Application button and select User Options.
  2. The User Options dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select Release of Information.
  4. Choose from the following:

    Description

    Prompt me when deleting Document Types from a request

    Enables a prompt that alerts you when removing Document Types from a request. When you remove a Document Type from a request, it is removed from all charts on the request.

    Default facility for new requests

    Select a default facility for new requests from the drop-down list. This facility is automatically selected when you create new requests.

    Select <None> from the drop-down list if you do not want to select a default facility. No facility is automatically selected when you create new requests.

    Note:

    When either a facility or <None> is selected, you are not prompted to select a default facility when creating a new request.

    Prompt me when removing my documents from the Virtual Print Gallery

    Enables a prompt that alerts you when removing your documents in the Virtual Print Gallery.

    This prompt is only applicable to documents you printed. When removing documents other users printed, you are always prompted.

    Note:

    The Prompt me when removing my documents from the Virtual Print Gallery option is only available when you are licensed for Virtual Print Driver.

    Automatic External Document Retrieval

    Determines whether external system documents are automatically retrieved upon closing a request that you have selected to add external system documents to. Choose from the following:

    • Always- Automatically retrieves external system documents upon closing the request.

    • Never- Never retrieves external system documents upon closing the request. The process must be completed manually.

    • Prompt- Prompts whether you would like to retrieve external system documents upon closing the request. From the prompt, you can decide whether to always retrieve external system documents or never retrieve external system documents upon closing a request by selecting Always do this when closing a request and clicking Yes to automatically start retrieval or No to manually retrieve documents later.

    Note:

    The Automatic External Document Retrieval option is only available when you are licensed for Report Capture for Meditech.

    Prompt me when completing a request

    Enables a prompt that alerts you when marking a request as complete. When you mark a request as complete, any pre-configured system actions for the request packet are also performed, including sending the request packet to HL7 or Workflow.

  5. Click Save when finished.
