Replicated Disk Groups requires a local cache to store files that have been downloaded from the Cloud Server.

To configure the Cache:

  1. In the Configuration module, navigate to Disk Mgmt | Cloud Replication | Cache Configuration. The Local Cache Configuration dialog is displayed.
  2. Click in the empty field at the bottom of the dialog and enter a name describing the cache.
  3. Click Create. The Cache Settings dialog is displayed.
  4. Enter a path for the cache, or click Browse to select a folder location.
    Note:

    The path must be UNC accessible by the Downloader agent, and UNC/DDS accessible by all clients and application servers.

  5. In the Maximum Size field enter a value for the largest amount of space the cache should take up.
    In the drop-down list, select the desired units.
  6. In the Minimum Size field, enter a value minimum space that the Cache Cleanup Service should purge files to.
    In the drop-down list, select the desired units.
  7. Click OK when finished.
    Click Clear to clear all fields of values.
  8. Click Close to close the Cache Settings dialog.
  9. To make changes to an existing local cache, select the desired cache from the list and click Settings.
  10. To rename a local cache, double-click on a cache in the list. The Rename Local Cloud Cache Dialog is displayed.

    In the New Name field, enter a new name.

    When finished, click Save to save the new name, or click Cancel to close the dialog and keep the current name.
