The local Cache can be configured with a Maximum Size and a Minimum Size. To make sure that the Cache is not always at the Maximum Size limit, a Cache Cleanup agent can be configured to run at regular intervals to purge the oldest and least-accessed files until the configured Minimum Size low watermark is reached.

The Cache Cleanup Service will run at the configured interval any time the Cache is significantly above the configured Minimum Size.

During Cache Cleanup, if one of the files is open and in use, the Cache Cleanup agent will skip the open file and continue the cleanup process. If all files that would have been deleted are open, the Cache Cleanup agent will stop purging files in the Cache.

See Cache Cleanup Service Configuration for more information.

Note:

Any configuration changes made to the Replicated Disk Groups requires a reset of the application server cache in order to be seen by the Cloud Replication Service.
