To update an existing column, complete the following steps. Existing columns are those that already have been created and assigned to a Document Type.

To rename a column, see Renaming a Column.

  1. In the Report Mining Column and Data Configuration dialog box, select the Document Type from the Document Types drop-down list.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In the drop-down under Columns, select the column to update.

    • From the Data Types Assigned to Columns list, select the existing column-to-data-type association.

  3. Select a data type from the Data Types drop-down list.
  4. Click Update Data. The settings dialog box is displayed.
  5. Update the settings as described in the data type's configuration topic. Click a topic from the following list to view the configuration steps for that data type.
