When you add a secondary data column or access its settings, the Secondary Data in Record Group dialog box is displayed:

  1. In the Column field, type the column where the secondary data occurs within the record group. The first column within the record group is 1.
  2. In the Width field, type the maximum number of characters that the secondary data may contain.
    Note:

    Secondary data columns don't require a Line value because secondary data occurs on the same line as the primary data.

  3. Click Save.
