A process may be unable to find primary data when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The process was configured using visual configuration.

  • The record group is defined with a tag.

  • The record group starts on a different line than the area.

If the record group is defined with a tag, then visual configuration is unable to calculate the correct line of a mapped primary data column when the column is mapped. In tagged record groups, visual configuration calculates the primary data column's position relative to the start of the area rather than the start of the record group.

In this situation, you must manually modify the primary data column definition. If the primary data column is defined with a tag, this can be accomplished in visual configuration by double-clicking on the [TAG STRING] parameter and changing the line value.

If the primary data column is not defined with a tag, then its definition must be modified using OnBase Configuration. To modify the definition, do the following:

  1. In OnBase Configuration, select Document | Report Mining.
  2. Select the Report Mining process.
  3. Click Data Config. The Report Mining Column and Data Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  4. Select the Document Type from the Document Types drop-down.
  5. Select the Record Primary Data column from the Data Types Assigned to Columns list.
  6. Click Settings.
  7. In the Line field, change the value to be relative to the start of the record group. For example, if the primary data occurs on the third line in the record group, type 3. See Record Primary Data Mapping for more information about these settings.
  8. Click Save.
  9. If necessary, repeat for other Document Types assigned to the process.
