This setting is available only if Data occurs for number of lines is selected. It specifies the number of lines containing primary data within each record group. The default value is 0, meaning that the process will check each line for primary data. Leave the value as 0 if the number of lines containing primary data varies per record group. This is the same as selecting Data occurs on every line.
The [NUMBER OF LINES] setting is useful for cases where multiple lines of irrelevant data follow the lines of primary data, as shown in the following example. Here, the first two lines always contain primary data, and the last three always contain irrelevant information. In this situation, the [NUMBER OF LINES] setting should be 2.
Modify this setting if you know there are a specific number of lines containing primary data in each record group.

To change this setting, double-click it. Enter the number of lines containing primary data in the record group and press ENTER.

If the number of lines containing primary data varies per record group, enter 0. This is the same as selecting Data occurs on every line for the [DATA OCCURRENCE] parameter.
