The OnBase Enterprise Integration Server (EIS) is used to seamlessly integrate third-party line-of-business applications with OnBase. EIS facilitates real-time data transfer between OnBase and the integrated line-of-business applications. Adapters are used to transfer messages to and from business endpoints (such as file systems, databases, and custom business applications) using various communication protocols.
